WOW I finally did my “Century Ride”!

After riding road bikes for over 35 years. I finally got my 100 mile century ride in! I had done 75 miles, 65 miles and a few 50 miles but never did the full 100 until Saturday, July 9th. This has been my goal for a long time. With work, life and a bad knee keep getting in my way, I was very worried I would not reach my goal.  Hitting this goal before my 50th birthday was very important to me and very emotional, words just can’t describe the feeling.

This is a great turning point in my life to set a goal like this one and meet it.

I did not tell many people ahead of time so I did not have the pressure. But the people who know me best are so proud of what I have done and most importantly I am ready to face the rest of my life without fear or worry.
